The BITC-SportInspired Community Games were an overwhelming success – AGAIN! Here’s some interesting insights:
Young People and Sports Clubs
Nearly 2,500 young people from 40 schools simultaneously took part in this extravaganza of fun, community building and sports participation; they accessed and 80 local sports clubs.
- 98% of the young people involved tried a sport they’d never played before.
- 97% of the young people involved found a sport they wanted to play again after.
- 100% of the sports clubs reported they felt the Community Games had enabled them to attract new members or increase their profile.
Business Volunteers:
1058 business volunteers took part in the BITC-SportInspired Community Games on Give and Gain Day.
Of those who volunteered in sports activities, 85% of them found these increased their appetite to volunteer in sports related activities.
