Fundraise For Us

Fighting child poverty together

From organising a bake off, growing a beard, hosting a bottomless brunch for friends and family, or running 10K dressed as a fairy — there are lots of ways you can raise money for SportInspired.

Not sure how to get started?

We’re partnering with JustGiving to make the fundraising process as easy and secure as possible for you. Check out their step-by-step guide to get your fundraising journey started.

Need help with ideas on how to fundraise for us? We’ve put together some fun fundraising ideas to give you a helping hand:

Bake sale

Baking is a great hobby and your results are sure to bring smiles to everyone’s face. Share your feel good food for a donation.

BBQ fundraiser

Gather your friends, family and neighbours, and host a barbecue in support of SportInspired. Mix things up with a few extra crowd-pleasers: bacon rolls, halal, kosher or veggie sausages and steak sandwiches. Cold beverages, including water and soft drinks, are also a great addition to a BBQ fundraiser, especially on a hot day!

Birthday

Instead of presents, ask for donations.

Come dine with me

Why not hold your very own dinner party? Invite friends and family to enjoy your culinary delights in exchange for a donation.

Darts competition

Hold a darts competition and see who gets a bullseye.

e-Bay / Vinted

Sell your unwanted bits and bobs on e-Bay or Vinted and donate money from any sales to SportInspired.

Host a workshop or class

If you’re a yoga or fitness instructor or have a skill to share, a workshop or class is a great way to get people to donate to charity while also enjoying the benefits of exercising, learning a new skill, and meeting new people. From crocheting to beginner’s language classes, cooking classes or anything in between, there’s no limit to the variety of workshops or classes you can hold to fundraise for charities like SportInspired.

Jumble sale

Hold a jumble sale and sell all your old bric-a-brac. You can also ask your friends and family for donations to sell.

Lemonade stand

Popular with kids as they can easily set up a stall in the front of the house with a pitcher of homemade lemonade and baked cookies.

Mow lawns

Ask your neighbours if they want their lawns mowed in exchange for a donation to SportInspired.

Positive steps

Change your route to work for a week; can you walk instead and donate your usual travel costs? Or how about getting off two stops earlier and getting your walks sponsored?

Running

Run a (half) marathon and get sponsored.
