Who We Are

About us

We’re in the midst of a living standard crisis, with increasing numbers of people living in poverty. Poverty rates are high by international standards, particularly for children. It is simply not acceptable that one in three children live in poverty in the UK. And it’s not fair that these kids are more likely to face mental health issues, behavioral problems, educational difficulties, and obesity.

To truly break this cycle of disadvantage, we need to create a society where every child and young person has the chance to thrive. At SportInspired, we address this crisis of inequality through action. We leverage the power of sport and physical activity to improve the physical and mental wellbeing of kids living in the UK’s most deprived communities. Our sports-based development programmes teach essential life skills, empowering children to create lasting positive change and paving the way for a brighter future.

“We are keen for children to try different sports to find the one which really fires up a passion in their belly, in the hope that this enthusiasm will keep them playing the sport far beyond their schooling years.”

Richard Raynes, CEO of SportInspired

Together, we can pave the way for a future where every kid, no matter what their ability or background, has the chance to flourish in the life they choose.
